Our opportunity

The Electronic Imaging Division has evolved beyond photocopiers to provide our clients with innovative technology solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness across their business operations.

 

As a Visual Designer, you'll be responsible for visually communicating ideas through a combination of art and technology.  Through consultation with key stakeholders, conceptualize, design and implement high quality creative graphic, video and audio projects on time and budget.

 

Responsibilities include (not limited to)

  • Preparing layouts or mock-ups of a design, video, animation and audio using illustration, text, photography, colour and computer generated imagery, using computer software including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects
  • Meeting with internal stakeholders to interpret the concepts they want to communicate and note their requirements.
  • Determining strategies to deliver a clear message to a particular target audience.
  • Organising the production of proofs and liaising with suppliers.
  • Preparing designs for digital or print publication.
  • Ensure effectual creative direction, brand consistency and uphold standards of execution for improvement of marketing material.
  • Assist with intranet and web site design

 

Other requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Design and Video Production discipline.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

 

Qualifications, skills and experience required

  • Advanced Desktop publishing skills (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects)
  • Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent knowledge of online webinar software (GoToWebinar)
  • 5 years' experience

 

In addition to the above, the successful candidates will need to work effectively with customers and Toshiba team members across multiple departments and at various levels. Therefore, sound interpersonal skills, strong customer service orientation and a commitment to the Toshiba Values will ensure success.
