Our opportunity

This pivotal position sits within the IT department of our Corporate Services Division and is critical for managing the data network infrastructure and voice services for our business.

• Designing, planning, implementing and maintaining corporate data communications network services and associated infrastructure.
• Provide pro-active management of Toshiba's network equipment, to ensure that the equipment is running efficiently & up to date.
• Maintaining technical documentation, reports and records regarding infrastructure services and solutions.
• Advise, implement and maintain network security services

• Plan, develop, and implement data and voice projects for Toshiba's network
• Troubleshoot and rectify service issues in regards to the voice and data network infrastructure

• Implement enhancements to existing voice infrastructure and liaise with carriers and vendors in regards to outsourced services

Other requirements

• Broad network engineering / administration experience in a highly technical ICT role, with a proven track record of achieving objectives
• 3+ years' experience in a complex ICT infrastructure environment incorporating implementation, operations management, configuration, and maintenance
• Excellent Knowledge of network administration, engineering, and architecture
• Technical proficiency in Cisco ASA and Checkpoint Firewalls; operational administration skills of Cisco network equipment, Checkpoint security appliances

Qualifications, skills and experience required

• Technical qualifications or certifications such as CCNP, CCDP or CCI
• Tertiary IT degree or similar
• 3 to 6 years experience

In addition to the above, the successful candidates will need to work effectively with customers and Toshiba team members across multiple departments and at various levels. Therefore, sound interpersonal skills, strong customer service orientation and a commitment to the Toshiba Values will ensure success.
