Our opportunity

We have a full time permanent opportunity for a seasoned Account Manager, who would look at the existing customer base and aim to amplify business by selling products in and around the Sydney CBD and Northern Sydney region. Reporting to the NSW Sales Manager, the primary focus of this self-driven position is to meet the sales budgets for allocated accounts. You must be a self-starter, hungry and a driven individual.  There is plenty of opportunity to become a sales super star for the right person, you must have the right attitude and a hardworking approach. Responsibilities include:

  • Undertake regular PR calls to existing customers, Initiate contact with prospective purchasers with a view to securing sales of product
  • Ensure individual monthly sales targets are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities performed in order to meet these targets and present to management as directed.
  • Attend promotional activities organised by Branch and Division as directed by management.
  • Ensure maximum attendance of existing and prospective customers to these activities by way of invitation and follow-up.
  • Provide regular reports regarding sales activities and progress to Manager as requested.
  • Keep customer activity database up to date in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Submit a detailed prospect and forecast list each week as directed by Manager
  • Submit a demonstration list each month as directed by Manager
  • Participate in all product training sessions.


Other requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to work effectively with customers and Toshiba team members across multiple departments and at various levels.  Therefore, sound interpersonal skills, strong customer service orientation and a commitment to the Toshiba Values will ensure success.


Qualifications, skills and experience required:

  • Previous sales experience in the multi-function device and solutions industry ideal but not essential.
  • Experience selling in the B2B commercial sector.
  • Experience selling technology, and a good understanding of technology.
  • Basic MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as a minimum.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Strong client presentation delivery and demonstration skills.
  • Professional personal presentation and grooming.
  • Current driver's license is essential.
