Our opportunity

This is a terrific opportunity for a proven leader to join our Senior Management team to driver sales and to develop a team of Regional Managers across Australia and New Zealand.  You will develop the divisional business direction as an “Integrated Business Partner”, rather than as a “Supplier” through our Managed Services (Toshiba Managed Services) in conjunction with traditional sales methodology. This will include actively engaging with the Regions top accounts in both hardware, service, MPS and TMS, whilst seeking 3rd party partnerships though the Regional Management team to grow revenue opportunity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of dedicated “Direct” Regional Managers, Sales Managers and Sales Teams to achieve sales revenue and operational targets.
  • To develop and implement sales strategies, such as, for the utilisation of Toshiba Managed Services including TPS and MTS through the Transactional and dedicated sales resource structure.
  • In conjunction with the General Manager and Head of Marketing develop the National Direct sales strategy and performance in line with Divisional objectives.
  • Provide leadership to Regional Managers and mentor other senior managers, as well as staff in order to achieve department objectives. 
  • Review departmental sales performance, provide strategic insight as well as corrective actions where required.
  • Assist Direct Regions with the retention, recruitment, motivation and development of sales staff in order to achieve performance objectives.
  • Remain involved in the negotiation of major deals and maintain key customer contacts at senior levels.
  • Establish, implement and monitor all Direct Regional sales strategy, objectives, policies and programs.
  • Control and monitor sales methods, key customer strategies and arrangements by recommending prices and credit arrangements.
  • Keep abreast of opposition activities within the marketplace through feedback from Branch Managers and sales teams and provide this information back to the Marketing department to assist with effective strategy and planning.
  • Ensure all activities of Direct Sales comply with relevant Toshiba Values, legislation including fair trading and restrictive trade practice, other legal requirements and ethical standards.

Our requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to work effectively with customers and Toshiba team members across multiple departments and at various levels.  Therefore, sound interpersonal skills, strong customer service orientation and a commitment to the Toshiba Values will ensure success.

Skills and experience required:

  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading a National team of senior managers within the same or similar industry.  Experience within the managed solutions industry would be highly regarded.
  • Minimum 10 years experience managing in all aspects of business operations.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading a large team of direct and indirect team members.
  • Tertiary qualifications in either Business or Management ideal but not essential.
  • Current Drivers License.
