Our opportunity

Our Imaging and Colour Technology development team focuses on the MFP Raster Image Processor (RIP) releases, Print Technology related software tools and Imaging Research. Product-level code development of the RIP is performed on Linux OS. We have an opportunity for a Software Intern with flexibility offered to suit student needs in our North Ryde Office, reporting to the Section Manager. Depending on intern performance and business requirements, this position may extend and may lead to a permanent engineering role with Toshiba R&D, although this is not guaranteed.


Other Responsibilities:

  • Prototype new rendering architectures for image quality and rasterization performance improvements;
  • Assist in verifying RIP testing results via image inspections;
  • Assist in developing colour management client tools development;
  • Communicate with managers and teams for meeting the delivery schedules.


Our requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, time management and communication skills as well as a commitment to teamwork and customer service. 


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must be in your final year of studying your BE / BSc (Computing) or B Computer Science or equivalent degree
  • Good programming skills in C and C++
  • Development skills in Linux OS environments
  • Mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Good code analysis and debugging skills of complex code.
