Toshiba Australia's Electronic Imaging Division (EID) is growing. We are expanding beyond our traditional Multi-Function Devices (MFDs) to provide our customers with innovative solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness in their business operations.

Our opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Channel Manager for our Northern Region, to join our team based in Sydney. Reporting to the National Channel Manager, the primary focus of this role is to manage the dealer networks throughout the QLD and Northern Territory country regions, New Zealand, as well as Pacific Island territories, to ensure sales budgets are achieved.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Manage existing Dealer partner relationships and grow revenue and the profitability of these accounts
  • Find new Dealer partners and ensure they achieve profitability for Toshiba products and solutions
  • Ensure Dealer partners are always kept up to date with relevant issues and provide support and guidance when required
  • Communicate sales budgets and targets to Dealers in a timely manner.
  • Monitor Dealers' performance to ensure sales budgets and targets are achieved.
  • Identify and resolve any issues/obstacles preventing Dealers from achieving targets/budgets.
  • Ensure all Dealer salespeople are motivated and effectively rewarded according to their performance.
  • Liaise with EID Technical Department to ensure Dealer service staff receive regular product training in order to effectively maintain customers' machines.
  • Ensure Dealer sales staff receive regular product and sales training to effectively market Toshiba products and solutions.
  • Manage regional advertising, within set budget levels, to ensure optimum exposure for Toshiba.

To be successful in this role, you will need to work effectively with customers and Toshiba team members across multiple departments and at various levels. Therefore, sound interpersonal skills, strong customer service orientation and a commitment to the Toshiba Values will ensure success.

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

  • 5+ years' experience in a relevant role.
  • Strong customer relationship, influencing and communications skills
  • Willingness to travel interstate extensively
  • The ability to be self-driven and motivated by successful achievement of objectives and KPI's
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • An understanding of product, project and account management principles with a strong analytical approach
  • Strong client presentation delivery and demonstration skills
  • Professional personal presentation and grooming
  • Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Current drivers licence
