Toshiba Australia's Electronic Imaging Division (EID) is growing. We're expanding beyond our traditional Multi-Function Devices (MFDs) to provide our customers with innovative solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness in their business operations.

In this position, you'll have a network of experts to support your development. You'll participate in our sales development program to learn everything you need to be a success. Completion of the program will result in you being a competent and potentially high earning account manager with continued opportunities for growth within our business for many years to come. 


This is a hands-on role, for which you will be held accountable for generating leads and achieving sales targets. More specifically, it's an activity based, new business sales role of technology products into the SMB (small to medium businesses) market with the aim of opening up new trading relationships and to in turn create opportunities for larger deals.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Meet monthly targets for lead generation and closed sales
  • Meet monthly prospecting KPI's
  • Maintain accurate records within the CRM system; keep database up to date with activities, follow up task and notes in order to meet KPI targets and present to management as directed
  • Participate in all Toshiba EID product training sessions
  • Attend promotional activities
  • Identify and call decision makers within targeted SMBs
  • Qualify and gather customer requirements
  • Work on and close smaller deals
  • Uncover opportunities for larger deals and work on these with a Senior Account Manager
  • Visit businesses generating leads within a targeted area
  • Schedule and complete follow up activities
  • Coordinate sales process and deliver proposals and presentations to potential customers
  • Complete sales administration
  • Provide weekly report on sales activities and progress to manager


Our requirements

There are some things that we can't teach you and you must already possess. You must want to invest in your future and want to work for it. You need to know that you already enjoy sales and you want a career in sales. To succeed in this role you must have a want to learn, strong work ethic, a positive attitude, commitment and determination.


Skills and experience required:

  • 1-3 years high activity sales experience selling face to face or over the phone would be highly regarded
  • Ambition, we are looking for a person who is driven by both career progression and uncapped earning potential
  • A positive attitude and charismatic personality
  • A strong work ethic - you will need to be productive
  • Team player – you must be able to balance your ambition with the needs of the team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technology savvy
  • Professional personal presentation and grooming
  • Current driver's license is essential
