Our opportunity

We have an opportunity for an experienced Area Supervisor to join our team based in Mt Waverley, VIC. Reporting to the Service Manager, the Area Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of field based Customer Service Technicians and works to ensure their team is on track to provide timely, accurate and economical service to customers and achieve customer response objectives as set for the branch.


Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Leading a team of field based Customer Service Technician
  • Ensure sufficient resources are provided to maintain response times
  • Achieve metrics related to efficiently operating a service team. (For example return to fit, first fix rate, call back rate, parts spend, etc.)
  • Ensure cost of goods are minimised, whilst still providing maximum customer uptime.
  • Advise and mentor team members to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, measured via Net Promoter Score, is delivered and maintained
  • Assist team members with technical support in the field and via the phone
  • Monitoring and managing team members stock levels as well as conducting stock takes when required
  • Provide verbal and written field and area reports to management
  • Conduct regular area meetings with team members
  • Assist and liaise with SDC to maintain the highest level of productivity


Our requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to work effectively with customers and Toshiba team members across multiple departments and at various levels.  Therefore, sound interpersonal skills, strong customer service orientation and a commitment to the Toshiba Values will ensure success.


Skills and experience required: 

  • Several years (5+) previous industry experience
  • Very good all round technical ability combined with very good PR and Customer Relations skills
  • Able to communicate well and organise teams and workload
  • High level customer relations skills
  • Current car drivers licence
  • Basic Electronics or similar qualifications
