Our opportunity

The opportunity is for an experienced salesperson with 3 + years selling at major government level.  You will have extensive experience and knowledge of NSW key government departments and contacts. You will be selling our range of print, multifunctional devices, laptops and software solutions into NSW government including Universities and local councils across the Sydney metropolitan basin. You must be a self-starter, hungry and a driven individual.  There is plenty of opportunity to become a sales super star for the right person, you must have the right attitude and hardworking approach. We can help with the rest!

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Daily prospecting new potential clients for new opportunities.
  • Grow and manage existing client's needs.
  • Learn new technology products
  • Social media interaction, build your brand and the business
  • Contribute to writing tenders
  • Achieve monthly sales targets
  • Achieve sales activity targets.
  • Produce exciting presentations and proposals
  • Attend client events

 Our requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to work effectively with customers and Toshiba team members across multiple departments and at various levels.  Therefore, sound interpersonal skills, strong customer service orientation and a commitment to the Toshiba Values will ensure success.

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous sales experience and understanding of selling into similar government business with similar technology products will be considered
  • Experience selling technology, and a good understanding of technology.
  • Basic MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as a minimum
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management skills
  • Strong client presentation delivery and demonstration skills
  • Professional personal presentation and grooming
  • Current driver's license is essential
  • Marketing degree or business degree preferred if less experienced.
