Toshiba Australia's Electronic Imaging Division (EID) is growing. We are expanding beyond our traditional Multi-Function Devices (MFDs) to provide our customers with innovative solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness in their business operations.


Our opportunity

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Service Manager to join our Melbourne team, reporting to our National Service Business Manager. The primary purpose of this position is to manage and maintain an efficient after sales support team to meet our customer's and company expectations, objectives and KPI's.


The successful applicant will be comfortable leading change to ensure our processes and methodologies remain current, in line with industry, and global standards in supporting customers. They will be confident with their peers to suggest the way forward to ensure Toshiba remains relevant to our customers.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Continuously optimise what we do for our customers
  • Achieve financial results
  • Ensure Technician's productivity targets are met
  • Provide the highest level of support to our customers, and internal stakeholders
  • Make sure our staff are ready and trained to offer onsite support, and get issues resolved first time
  • Manage spare parts stock and usage to achieve results
  • Provide verbal and written reports and statistics to Senior Management


Our requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to work effectively with customers and Toshiba team members across multiple departments and at various levels.  Therefore, sound interpersonal skills, strong customer service orientation and a commitment to the Toshiba Values will ensure success.


Skills and experience required:

  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain a cohesive team, focused on business and customer outcomes
  • Business Equipment, FMCG or similar industry experience
  • 3+ years' experience managing a field service team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer relation skills
  • Intermediate skill level of MS packages
  • An understanding of P&L and budgeting
  • Desirable to have experience managing stock levels of spare parts
  • Current driver's license
  • Business or Management qualifications preferred
