Toshiba Australia's Electronic Imaging Division (EID) is growing. We're expanding beyond our traditional Multi-Function Devices (MFDs) to provide our customers with innovative ICT solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness in their business operations.

Our opportunity

A fantastic opportunity exists for a proven high performer in software solutions sales, to join Toshiba's rapidly-expanding Managed Services division based in our North Ryde office. Your primary responsibility is to deliver the sales results through your individual efforts, and to consistently meet and exceed your monthly revenue target.

Your experience in selling software solutions, digital workflows and process automation will be essential in growing our solution sales at a grass roots level.  You will be the face of Toshiba, supported by a fantastic team of analysts, architects, project managers, plus a highly-skilled professional services team.

You will be relied upon you to use your strengths and competencies in sales to understand how to manage and create an effective pipeline of software solution opportunities.  You will also be responsible for evangelising and coaching the current hardware sales team to support you.

Showing and displaying great sales leadership all  the way through the sales process, this role is not for a traditional old-school, office-based sales rep.  You will eat, sleep, and breathe software solutions and know-how to execute strategy and drive sales to success.

Toshiba has a large number of customers just waiting to hear from you about how we can improve their efficiencies and outcomes through the use of software solutions and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Propose the Toshiba Managed Services portfolio to new and existing clients, individually and in partnership with territory account managers.
  • Perform the identification, discovery, qualification processes for TMS document imaging solutions, as well as the creation of the supporting documentation.
  • Develop and present client proposals directly to internal and external project stakeholders (up to C-level) conveying organisational benefits, including ROI and success metrics for client engagements.
  • Responsible for all commercial tasks in client projects, ensuring completed milestones are billed on time.
  • Actively create own sales opportunities through new business and existing Toshiba accounts.
  • Organise and host promotional client events, webinars and other lead-generating activities.
  • Provide regular forecast and pipeline reports regarding sales opportunities and update company CRM with customer activities.
  • Maintain internal system client opportunity workflow status as required by management.
  • Submit existing client and new business target activity lists each month as directed by management.
  • Participate in all vendor or Toshiba EID product training sessions.
  • Evangelise and deliver commercial training for solutions portfolio to regional sales teams.
  • Ensure individual monthly sales targets are met.
  • Arrange and attend quarterly meetings with all clients to provide updates, articulate service reports and scout for up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.

Our requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a great attitude, excellent presentation and a strong desire to achieve.

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience selling  software and or managed services in the commercial sector
  • Proven consultative experience and understanding of the managed services and software methodology.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in the technology vendor or IT services industry
  • Current driver's licence
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Document Imaging Architecture and or work-based experience
  • Exposure to a Project Management discipline
  • Team player and good communicator
  • C level sales engagement ability
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrable skills in business analytics and terminology.
  • Ability to communicate concepts and workflows with business diagramming (flowcharts, cause-effect diagrams, cross-functional process maps, data flow diagrams)
  • Ability to sell products as a service.
  • Knowledge of enterprise software architecture and hosting requirements
  • Understanding software deployment strategies including server & web service platform
  • Proven ability in C-Level presentation skills
  • Strong  documentation skills and detailed understanding of Microsoft Office
