Toshiba Australia's Electronic Imaging Division (EID) is growing. We are expanding beyond our traditional Multi-Function Devices (MFDs) to provide our customers with innovative solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness in their business operations.

 

Our opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Service Desk Support Technician to join our Sydney team. Reporting to the Service Desk Team Leader, the primary focus of this role is to provide technical support for Toshiba Multi-Function Devices, software and solutions to customers using phone, e-service and remote diagnostic / maintenance tools.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • To provide a good customer experience by resolving customer printing and scanning issues efficiently over the phone or using remote administration tools
  • Assist, advise and train end user customers on the proper use / operation of Toshiba Multi-Function Devices and monitoring software products, gathering accurate information and recording it in the Service Desk ERP
  • Interact with the National Care Centre (NCC) to ensure customer enquiries are dealt with efficiently and effectively as possible
  • Maintain currency of all documentation, templates and procedures
  • Contribute to the maintenance and updating of the Service Desk Management knowledge and information databases

 

Our requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to work effectively with customers and Toshiba team members across multiple departments and at various levels. Therefore, sound interpersonal skills, strong customer service orientation and a commitment to the Toshiba Values will ensure success.

 

Skills and experience required: 

  • Formally recognised qualification in Information Technology or associated field or relevant experience
  • Familiar with Microsoft and Mac Operating systems
  • Confident in using Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Understanding of internet, networking concepts and protocols
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully install, remove, upgrade, configure software and troubleshoot connectivity issues
  • Experience with the use of a Service Desk ERP
  • Minimum of 1 years' experience in a technical support role
  • Implementation and / or use of remote access software (e.g. TeamViewer, GoToAssist)
