Our opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Sales Consultant to join the Toshiba EID Managed Services sales team. You must have a proven sales track record in IT or Telephony. What is essential is a great attitude, excellent presentation and a strong desire to achieve. 

Your main responsibility is to deliver the sales results through your sales efforts and to be accountable for your sales revenue targets.  Your experience in selling will be essential in growing Managed IT Service sales at a grass roots / coalface level. You will work supported by a great Professional Services team will be in the field selling. You will be relied upon you to use your strengths and competencies in sales to understand how to manage and create an effective pipeline of the Managed IT Services products.  You will be in charge of your training and help motivate the current printer sales team to support you.

Showing & displaying great sales leadership right the way through the sales process, this role is not for a traditional old school person working behind a desk using email, as this won't grow the business! You will eat, sleep, and breathe Managed IT Services and know how to execute strategy and drive a sales to success.

Toshiba has a large number of customers just waiting to hear from you about how we can improve their outcomes through the use of Managed IT Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate contact with current and prospective purchasers with a view to securing Managed IT Services sales in accordance with National TMS directives.
  • Progress leads generated via Direct sales teams and the Lead generation portal.
  • Arrange and attend quarterly meetings with all clients to provide updates, articulate service reports and scout for upsell/cross sell opportunities.
  • Ensure individual monthly sales targets are met.
  • Maintain accurate customer records including licenses, warranties, support and software expiration dates, and customer contact information
  • Identification, discovery, qualification and scoping for a customers IT requirements, as well as the creation of the statement of requirements and functional documents.
  • Follow up on assigned customer software renewal quotes and/or generate custom quotes and present to the customer
  • Evangelise and deliver commercial training of the MTS portfolio to direct branch sales teams.
  • Keep customer activity database up to date in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Submit a detailed prospect list each week as directed by Manager.
  • Participate in all product training sessions.
  • Remain cognisant on new product and industry developments at all times.
  • Complete all vendor sales training.

Our requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a sales track record. Not necessarily in the printer or MFD field, but experience in IT or Telephony would be an advantage. What is essential is a great attitude, excellent presentation and a strong desire to achieve.

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous sales experience in the IT solutions industry ideal but not essential
  • Experience selling in the B2B commercial sector
  • Basic MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as a minimum
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong client presentation delivery and demonstration skills
  • Professional personal presentation and grooming
  • Current driver's license is essential
