Our opportunity

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Connectivity Support Specialist to join the Electronic

Imaging Division's Head Office team. Reporting to the Connectivity Support Manager, the primary purpose of this position is to provide technical post-sales support, including but not limited to issue resolution, training and information distribution for Toshiba printers and multifunctional devices, related software and integrated document management solutions.


Your key responsibilities will require you to:

  • Testing, replication, investigation and escalation of reported issues including provision of on-site assistance where necessary
  • Creation, control and distribution of technical documentation for use by field based service staff
  • Contribute to ‘service readiness' activities associated with the launch of new products, software and solutions into the market
  • Creation, delivery and maintenance of technical training programs, including assessment and recording of participants
  • Liaison with external and internal companies to escalate issues reported from the field, provision of information regarding product performance in the market
  • Maintenance and control of Head Office technical support functions, but not limited to;
    • EID Technical Knowledge and information databases
    • Product testing
    • Set up and testing of networked printer and MFP devices


Our requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to work effectively with customers and Toshiba team members across multiple departments and at various levels.  Therefore, sound interpersonal skills, strong customer service orientation and a commitment to the Toshiba Values will ensure success.


Skills and experience required:

  • Formally recognized qualification in Information Technology or associated field with relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of internet, networking concepts and protocols
  • 3-5 years' experience in a customer support role with networked printing devices
  • Implementation and / or use of remote access software
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
