About the role

Due to the continued growth and success of our organisation, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources & Payroll Officer to join our team based in North Ryde.

 

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow in the role as you take ownership of the organisation's payroll and get further involved with aspects of human resources.  

 

This busy role is pivotal in providing superior service regarding human resources and payroll related queries, as well as assisting the Human Resources Manager to deliver human resources initiatives across the employee life cycle for approximately 190 employees in Australia and New Zealand.

 

Key Responsibilities

As a full function, end-to-end role, your duties will include:

 

  • Managing and processing the end-to-end payroll function for fortnightly and monthly employees; preparing payroll tax, superannuation administration; and PAYG statement and calculations.
  • Co-ordination and administration of end-to-end recruitment and selection, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintaining the integrity of HRIS & Payroll systems, data management, and reporting requirements.
  • Assist the Human Resources Manager with organisational development initiatives relating to employee life cycle matters.
  • General HR administration duties to support implementation and delivery of HR policies, systems and processes, i.e. maintaining and drafting employee documentation and files; new hires and terminations.
  • Assist with policy and procedure reviews, improvement and implementation, particularly with transitioning of new systems and processes.
  • Provide timely customer service, acting as initial point of contact for HR and payroll related queries.
  • Co-ordinating tasks for HR related events and activities.
  • Other adhoc projects as required.

 

 

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (Certificate IV or higher).
  • 2+ years Sage Micropay Meridian experience.
  • 2+ years Oracle or similar HRIS system experience.
  • Considerable knowledge of Australian and New Zealand employment and payroll legislation.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Superior organisation and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer and solutions focused.
  • Proven ability to deliver results.
  • Superior analytical and system skills.
