Toshiba Australia's Electronic Imaging Division (EID) is growing. We're expanding beyond our traditional Multi-Function Devices (MFDs) to provide our customers with innovative solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness in their business operations.

 

Our opportunity

Our North Ryde branch has an opportunity for a Service Desk Representative to join our Head Office Technical team. Reporting to the Service Desk Team Leader, the primary focus of this position is to provide technical support to our direct business customers.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Remote assistance and training of end users on the proper use of Toshiba equipment and software products
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting relating to:
    • Scanning
    • Printing
    • Network
    • MFD operation
    • Maintenance of accurate and complete customer records of all incidents including symptoms, actions and closure details within the Service Desk ERP
    • Contribution to the maintenance and updating of the Service Desk knowledge base
    • Installing and troubleshooting device monitoring software (FMAudit)

 

Our requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to work effectively with customers and Toshiba team members across multiple departments and at various levels.  Therefore, sound interpersonal skills, strong customer service orientation and a commitment to the Toshiba Values will ensure success.

 

Skills and experience required:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Office applications
  • Networking experience (LAN / WiFi / Bluetooth)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work autonomously

 

Previous experience with any of the following will be beneficial:

  • Experience in a technical support role
  • FMAudit
  • OS X / macOS
  • Linux
